- The new edition of the “Jews in the German Empire” free database with 524,357 people is now available. This database presents the vital records and, in increasing numbers, the biographies of Jewish men and women of the 19th and 20th centuries who lived within the borders of the German Empire of 1914. These individuals are listed in widely ramified family groups, illustrated with pictures and documents, and supplemented with additional links to external sites. - LitvakSIG announces that batch 28 of the Vilnius household registers is now available to qualified contributors. The registers were created between 1919 and 1940 when Wilno (Vilnius) city and Wilno voivodeship were part of Poland. The registers contain detailed information about everyone who lived in Wilno at that time, including children, as well as information about many visitors. This can include refugees fleeing the Nazis toward Vilnius in autumn of 1939. The data fields for typical entries include the full name, maiden name, names of parents including the mother’s maiden name, place and date of birth, place of most recent residence, marital status, and more. - The Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA) Databases Release for November 2025. IGRA has added three new databases and updated four databases, adding over 40,000 new listings, many of them with images. With a variety of subjects, from immigration to military, from the Ottoman period to the Israel times after the British mandate. Their search engine currently features 3,790,238 records.
